SNOWROLLERS - WHO KNEW!??
They
say this type of event only happens once or twice in a lifetime,
Well, we decided we would
take
advantage of the opportunity, so we, (Melva and I), jumped in the
van and took the handy dandy
digital
camera and went driving around taking pictures of the snowrollers.
We'd just found out the
previous
evening what they were called. We went to the North side of town
first, because I had seen
quite
a few of these funny snowballs, (snowrollers), the night before in
that area when I was coming
home
from a meeting of our Amateur Radio Emergency Service Officers group.
We
pretty well went all the way around Decatur... almost all the way around..
probably drove close
to
100 miles or so, but whose counting... we really enjoyed the day... took
around 25 pictures, some
of
which are just a slight different angle so they look close to the same..
the first (bigger) picture is
from
North Taylor Avenue, out on the NorthWest side of Decatur.. just south
and west of the Forsyth
mall.
We just wandered around from there, went out through the country out North
of Forsyth and
over
to Greenswitch Road on the East side of Decatur. Not many snowrollers
out in the fields! Snow
had
blown off the fields and into the yards or along the boulevards, which
is where we found most!
;-)
Anyway... here are some of the pictures... ENJOY!........;-)
